Hip hop in Toledo was conceived in the 1980’s at house parties and school dances; places where DJs, graffiti artists and rappers often gathered to create and share compositions. Day One revisits the roots of the movement, acknowledging those important artists who launched Toledo’s Hip Hop movement with passion and ingenuity.

In 2021, in light of the social unrest that spread across America, New Glass City responded with a call to arms;  Encouraging fellow citizens to fight injustice at the cash register by supporting Black-Owned businesses.  To push this effort forward, we compiled the most comprehensive virtual business directory to date. Featuring Toledo’s most celebrated restaurants, services and professionals.
